How do I prepare for a Soft Story Retrofit project?

Updated: Oct 12, 2023

THP - is a program which protects tenants from untenantable housing conditions.

with that seismic retrofit.

As of 2015 city of Los Angeles established mandatory standards for soft story buildings which are earthquake hazardous to be retrofitted to prevent extensive damage to weak structures in which could not only cost expensive repairs but worst of all cause loss of lives when buildings collapse during an earthquake. Notices were sent out by the department of building and safety for soft story building owners of the changes. Once property owners apply and get approved, they can contact the company of their choice for the soft story retrofit process. That is where we (Sinai Construction) come in and recommend an engineer if necessary for the job.

Soft story retrofit, seismic, earthquake, safe

Followed by our office requesting permits from the city for the job to be completed. All that is left if for in this case Sinai Construction schedule the dates for the job to begin. No sweat we make the process swiftly and efficiently. Our goal is to provide you extraordinary customer care experience. Once the permits are pulled, we get to begin working on demolition to remove any existing work which will need to be replaced.
