Retaining walls play a critical role in hillside properties by holding back soil, managing water runoff, and protecting structures from erosion and movement. Over time, older retaining walls—especially cinderblock walls—can weaken due to age, moisture, soil pressure, and seismic activity, making replacement not just an upgrade, but a necessity.
On this project, our team began by demolishing an existing cinderblock retaining wall that had reached the end of its service life. Once the wall was safely removed, we excavated the area to properly prepare the site. This step is essential to ensure the new wall is built on a solid foundation and can withstand long-term soil pressure.
We are now moving forward with the construction of a new, strong, and fully reinforced retaining wall, designed to meet current structural standards and provide long-lasting stability. Proper reinforcement, drainage, and engineering ensure the wall will perform reliably for years to come.
